Coat Rack in Gea

This beautiful coat rack is part of the Sorry Jannis collection which was inspired by Jannis Kounellis, one of the most highly regarded interpreters of Arte Povera.

Entirely handcrafted, the panels are made of Frisoli Gea, a material developed by Frisoli. A hybrid of this material is used for aerospace purposes; this version is particularly rare in that it looks like wood but with deep purple shades and one-of-a-kind copper-colored streaks that make each piece unique and non-reproducible. Thanks to these striking panels, a coat rack becomes a painting.
